Overview

Established in 1950, China National Machinery Import & Export Corporation (CMC) was a founding member of China General Technology (Group) Holding Co., Ltd. (Genertec), a vital backbone state-owned enterprise of China. For more than 70 years, CMC's business has expanded to more than 160 countries and regions globally, with a total import and export value of over 100 billion US dollars, covering energy, new energy, rail transport, chemical industry, light industry, building materials, infrastructure, shipping, complete equipment, and other business fields.


CMC has become the pioneer of international business operations among Chinese enterprises. Currently, CMC is focusing on two primary industries of Engineering Services and Industrial Capacity Cooperation. CMC's mission is to be a Common Prosperity Contributor for the Belt and Road Initiative and a Participant in the Allocation of Global Resources, committed to being a world-class enterprise with global competitiveness in the field of engineering services.


In line with global and national trends, CMC fully embrace the pursuit of a carbon-neutral economy and has set up their long-term strategy on the development of Green Energy in 2017. Further on, CMC integrated their resources in Europe region, set up CMC Europe Business Center(CMC Europe). CMC Europe is the management unit of CMC specialized in the renewable energy business, which manages CMC Italy, CMC UK, China Machinery Europe, ACI and CMC Europe Kft(Hungary), and is fully responsible for the business of each region in Europe.


In few years, CMC Europe has built, along with selected co-Developers, his own solar pipeline in advanced development stage in several countries including Hungary, Italy and Spain as prime markets, where CMC Europe will act as Developer, Equity Investor, Debt Arranger, EPC Contractor, O&M Operator and Asset Manager.


In 2020, CMC Europe Kft invested and built a 100-megawatt solar power plant in Kaposvár, Hungary, which is by far one of the largest solar plants in central and Eastern Europe with a value worth 32 billion forints (100 million euros). The project will be able to satisfy the electricity demand of a city with 50,000 inhabitants. The project was commissioned by the end of January 2021. 


In the same year of 2020, CMC Europe had Alleans Capital International (ACI) as a pillar of its global renewable strategy, empowering CMC with a highly skilled team of industry professionals looking after the origination of premium renewable energy pipelines and their development, construction, financing, and operation. Currently, ACI has secured over 1 GW of projects in less than 18 months and plans to realize 10 GW by 2025.
