International Engineering for Infrastructure

In the field of infrastructure engineering, In 2006, CMC undertook the Ankara-Istanbul High-Speed Rail Phase II Project through an international competitive bidding process, which enabled Chinese enterprises to build the first overseas high-speed railway. In 2019, the Matara-Beliatta Railway in Sri Lanka, constructed by CMC, opened to the public, which was the first railway project in Sri Lanka built by a Chinese enterprise as an EPC contractor, and the first newly-built railway in Sri Lanka in a century. In the same year, CMC was also awarded large-scale rail transport projects in Malaysia and Turkey. The development of infrastructure engineering projects in multiple regions has also achieved significant progress. Dhaka-Ashulia Elevated Expressway Project (DAEEP), a greatly concerned livelihood project designed to international standards, was one of CMC's most significant EPC projects in Bangladesh's infrastructure sector in recent years. It was also an essential infrastructure project for the Bangladesh, China, India and Myanmar Economic Corridor (BCIM). In addition, CMC built National Submarine Fiber Cable Network in Papua New Guinea and Telecommunication Network in Madagascar, becoming integral components of the information highways in the South Pacific and Africa. And now CMC Europe is also active in the field of plant construction, and has participated in several opeaning bids.
